As a Full Service Backyard Carpentry Company, Massey's also offers pressure washing and staining.

For Existing Structures:

We offer mop staining for Decks and spray staining for Fences and Arbors.

Decks are mopped stained because finished lumber is less porous and needs the stain massaged in for better retention.

Fences and Arbors are spray stained to make sure all the intricate nooks and crannies receive excellent coverage.

Massey's Woodworks prides itself on being responsible sprayers.  We will not spray on days that are too breezy.  We mask all endangered areas and notify neighbors to not park cars too closely.

Be advised that weather in spring months makes spray staining challenging.  Very little staining gets done from March through May.

If the list of people waiting to have stain projects done gets to be longer than three, there will be a stain queue page set up so everyone can monitor our progress.

For New Structures:

 We utilize our own WIT Brushless Staining System, invented by Michael Massey (patent pending #61425878)

Although many companies have dropped prestaining because of rising prices and significant delays in order returns,  we can offer pre-stained wood for fences that is both timely and cost efficient.

Why do I want my fence PreStained?

Because only with prestaining will all parts of the wood be treated.  Spray stainiing after the fact means that every place the wood overlaps is untreated. 

Also there is the volume of stain used in prestaining vs spraying.  On a normal 140' fence, we'll apply ten gallons more stain when prestaining than when spraying.

For Arbors and Decks, the machine can be brought to your jobsite and wood stained before assembly.
